Explore our Slaley Hall Golf Club, Northumberland.

Our two 18-hole Hexham golf courses have played host to over 20 European Tour, European Seniors Tour, PGA Cup and Asian Tour events.

Described as the 'Augusta of the North', our Hunting Course is among the finest Northumberland golf courses, with its own version of Amen Corner. Meanwhile, the more forgiving but equally as addictive Priestman Course offers wonderful panoramic views of the Tyne Valley from the tee box. Afterwards, dissect where it all went wrong (or right) over a bite to eat or tipple in the Claret Jug clubhouse or the outdoor terrace overlooking the action on the 18th.

Often nicknamed, 'The Augusta of the North', Hunting is a treasure of a Northumberland golf course, magnificently maintained and host to several flagship events.

Don't be lulled by the undulating fairways, streams and lakes, towering trees and banks of rhododendrons - this course will catch out the unwary. Well placed bunkers and tricky greens make this USGA standard, multi championship hosted course a real challenge.

Lovely, relaxing couple of nights at Slaley Hall
We stayed two nights at Slaley Hall. The hotel was quiet and all staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good and we ate in the restaurant both nights. I’d particularly like to single out Jamie R for great service in the restaurant, what a delightful young man he is! I also had a facial in the spa with Lauren which was wonderful. Thank you.
Mothers Day treat
Group of 4 girls for Mother’s Day treat. Bedrooms were lovely and spacious, food fabulous and pool nice and quiet in the evening.
Lovely Family Break with great amenities.
The ambiance on arrival is lovely, stylish, calm, welcoming and the reception area smells wonderful. Reception staff were excellent, very welcoming, extremely helpful, informative and professional. The Rooms were clean and all amenities required were fulfilled. The Beds would have been nice if a little bigger. Cleanliness of the hotel was great. There were no issues with noise levels whilst in the rooms and the atmosphere as a whole in the hotel around pool area, bar area etc was lovely, not too noisy but felt relaxed and able to enjoy a family time. Amenities were great, and the Driving Range was fabulous and extremely welcoming whilst a children's class was on for our 3 year old.
Couples Night Away
Booked a deal via Wowcher and couldn’t be more impressed! Overnight stay, spa access, breakfast & dinner credit. Spa/pool area is massive with plenty of seats and loungers. Grounds and building itself are amazing. Enjoyed being able to have a couple of drinks around the pool area. Rooms are spacious - only downside is the chair at the mirror is far too low so I could only see the top of my head & hair dryer wire is super short. Beds were super comfy. Had a lovely nights sleeps. Dinner was superb! Plenty to choose from. So many nice places to sit and have a drink after dinner. Breakfast was again, amazing. So so much to choose from. I had about 3/4 plates worth. We also went quad biking which I would definitely recommend!!
Nice Night Away
We visited the restaurant and we were looked after by Jamie R. Could not recommend him enough. Great service, would definitely recommend him. 10/10 Food was nice. Selection of drinks were good. Nice setting. Overall staff were very good in the venue.
A wonderful visit
Beautifully presented hotel, The room was spacious and the restaurant offered great food. Service from Jamie R was exceptional! Thank you again.
Wonderful from start to finish.
Beautiful stay. Wonderful welcome at reception. Room is lovely and clean, thanks to Susan for preparing this for us. And also massive thanks to Jamie R for being spot on at dinner. Excellent service. Very informative and nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely
Just had a lovely meal at the restaurant, Charlie was our waiter and he was lovely throughout. Great service, thanks Charlie
Very good
Booked this as an overnight Spa treat for my mum to celebrate her birthday and everything was perfect! We were allowed to check in early as a room was available which was great as we had a spa afternoon booked at 12.30pm. Afternoon tea followed by 2x 50minute treatments in the spa which were amazing. Pool area and spa facilities are immaculate and very modern. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening which from start to finish was wonderful. Ana looked after us both very well and she is an asset to the restaurant. Thankyou Ana! Breakfast the next morning was also very good, with the hot buffet and continental all included… All in all we had a fabulous overnight stay and would not hesitate to come back… so much so we are booked in for June again!
Excellent Stay
Lovely location in extensive grounds. Friendly professional staff, excellent food and drinks. Spa was so relaxing, comfortable room 😊
The pool area was clean and inviting. All staff were so friendly. The food was lovely, Charlie was very helpful and fri
An amazing place to visit. We had a great night away for our 22nd anniversary. Loved the pool, but the changing room needs for changing spaces. Loved the old and new blend of the building. It has a lovely calming feeling and the staff were happy and friendly. The room was as expected clean and had all the essentials needed. You could hear the doors close from other guests but didn't bother us that much. We used a Groupon for bed, breakfast and evening meal and it was excellent value with only a few drinks to pay for. Overall we had a great night away that was calm and relaxing.
Lovely spa getaway
Booked a spa day break. Spa and pool was class, lovely staff. Went for food at the restaurant, was amazing. Our server, Samuel Mcbride, was a lovely lad, very attentive and good laugh. Would recommend.
Charlie is a star
Just had dinner here, served by Charlie. Lovely young man, polite, knowledgeable and helpful young man. Food lovely, would recommend.
Slaley Golf Trip
Chose Slaley as our March golf venue. £219 pp for bed, breakfast, evening meals and 3 x golf. Two night break. Fantastic price. Breakfast was awesome. All generally young staff, very helpful and attentive. Great selection of breakfast choices, from full english to cereals and muffns. Very clean in the restaurants. £35 allowence for evening meals, enough for a starter and most mains. Pudding would prob cost a little extra. Food was served quickly and efficiently. Served by Jamie R. Young man, very smart and polite. Credit to the hotel, as were the other staff we spoke to including Aisha the cleaner and Sian Louise on reception. Such a great hotel to visit. Golf was outstanding, the Priestman just had a little less maintanance than the championship course, which was in great condition for March. SPA is one of the nicest i have been in, facilities are very good. Only complaint would be a chap, who appeated local to the area, was vaping inside next to the pool. Came last year twice and will definately be back again.
Weekend celebrations
Travelled to Slaley Hall for a family wedding. Staff very friendly and helpful, special shout out to Lani in the bar, what a whizz working under press with a big smile. Also to lewis walls who was the solo barman on the night of the wedding. And Jamie R who was our waiter in the restaurant. Phenomenal young people.
