Restaurant experience
Our experience was really great in the restaurant. Our waiter is Jamie R, he was fantastic and made the experience really great.
Great service
Very scenic, really nice walks. Drinks a little expensive but makes up for in the service. Every member of staff was kind and friendly, one which stood out for us was our restaurant waiter Sam Mcbride (hope I have spelt this correctly). Seems like a really nice down to earth person and delivered excellent service 👍
Great service !
Nice meal by the 18th hole. Food was fantastic and great service from Mike!
Lovely meal
Lovely dinner and great service by Micheal
Dinner
Amazing dinner, much helped by the service of Mike! Top man, was a pleasure to be around
Seb is fab
Seb was the absolute highlight of our weekend, he made everything special and we can’t thank him enough.
Beautiful place and amazing staff
Fab spa break with friends, staff were super friendly, with spa staff Georgina and Laura being excellent, and Jamie R in the dining room being brilliant. Only thing that was disappointing was the standard of the coffee! Definitely recommend, beautiful location, great staff and fabulous amenities. Even the gym was brilliant!
Fabulous family stay
Lovely location and atmosphere. After a tricky start with sorting out a dining upgrade, we checked into a gorgeous family room. Very spacious. Spa facilities excellent.,Restaurant staff superb - a real highlight. Food gorgeous. Big shout out to Jamie R for his fabulous service in the restaurant.

Spa day and dinner
Fantastic spa day and dinner reservation served by Jamie R, above and beyond cheers Jamie
2nd visit 20 years later
This is the second time we have stayed at Slaley Hall, the first being 20 years ago when it was owned by the De Vere Group. Let me start off by pointing out that the grounds of the hotel are amazing, the green-keeping staff do an excellent job! Now onto the building itself, beautiful building but it is clear that it does need some tlc on the outside. Rotten wood fascia’s which clearly haven’t been changed since the De Vere days. (I know I’m being really picky, the outside still does look amazing) Very easy drop off point outside reception and ample parking when we arrived. Check-in was faultless and the gentleman who checked us in was very professional and accommodating. We booked a family room and a twin room, unfortunately the family room doesn’t match what is presented on the website and is much smaller than I expected. We made do with it being for only one night and the room was clean and well presented. I would recommend asking for a different room if you have older kids just so they can have some privacy. Only downside was that there was no fridge ( you would expect this in every room in a 4 star hotel) and the air conditioning was awful. The shower was also quite outdated and again there was a tiny bit of mould around the bath (sorry being picky again). Onto swimming.. The pool was very clean as were the changing rooms. The only grumble/moan is that you must NOT forget to arrive at the pool without the silly bit of cardboard reception give pop your card room keys in. The lady at reception refused us entry until this was presented and told me to go back to the room and fetch it. If the room was too far away then I’d need to go back to reception and get another one. She could, well should have phoned reception to clarify we were guests in all honesty. Moan over, onto the restaurant. The food was lovely and the staff were amazing. Breakfast was brilliant as well. Overall it is a beautiful hotel and we would definitely stop there again.
Great service in restaurant
Janice was fantastic in the restaurant she was really good with the kids!
Dining room service
Jamie R was very efficient and went above and beyond, couldn't do enough for us.
Beautiful and exquisite
Had a fantastic meal, our server Jamie R was super friendly and attentive. Extremely professional and helpful. Really looking forward to a spa and treatments tomorrow. Been a great start to the birthday celebrations
Wonderful stay
Wonderful stay here, family thoroughly enjoyed it. special thx to the staff , in particular Lily ( straws served on a plate was a highlight 😁) and Morgan B (dart skills were outstanding 😁) . Thx to you both and team
Lovely weekend stay
We stayed in an accessible room and everything was perfect for our needs. The food in the restaurant was very nice and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Excellent experience with our dog
Excellent experience reception very helpful, lovely room even though we had our dog Bertie. Tilly at breakfast made us a breakfast table in the bar and really looked after us
Comfortable stay
A lovely hotel situated in a good location to explore the Northumberland area. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Good food, well stocked bar and good service. The room was oldie word but very comfortable, lots of hot water and plenty of space. We will be visiting again.
Beautiful place, amazing pool but a bit down by service and noise
Fantastic pool, cosy and clean room but a bit noisy due to our room was next to the lift. Nobody answer the call from the housekeeping & front desk, it probably because it was late(9pm) but get it sorted by visiting the desk. Overall, it's still very good location and beautiful place, we have a wonderful time.
Enjoyable stay
Room was fine lovely view of golf course, spa was great food was nice and lovely outdoor sitting area will be going back to try the golf course’s
