Golf Insurance
All golfers must have valid golf insurance before commencing play. No golf insurance – Don’t worry! Complimentary golf insurance can be provided for those without by clicking here.
Haven't booked your buggies and trolleys? Please contact the Golf Shop on 01434 673 350 or email golf@slaleyhallhotel.co.uk and we will be more than happy to add these on to your reservation. Please note that the availability of buggies is always weather dependant and persons using buggies must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driving license.
Getting Here
Slaley Hall is situated just a few short miles from Hexham’s train station and only 35 minutes from Newcastle Train Station. Newcastle airport is approximately 30 minutes away. To find us through Sat Nav, please enter our postcode NE47 0BX.
Arrival Information
We encourage all our guests to arrive at least 45 minutes before their tee time. On arrival follow signs to The Claret Jug, the golf shop is located beside The Claret Jug.
Driving Range balls can also be purchased in the golf shop to allow golfers to warm-up before play.

Dress and Etiquette Code
Golfing Attire: Proper golfing attire is required at all times on the Golf Course, (i.e. No football/Rugby shirts, no jeans, trainers, T-shirts or tracksuits). Players may wear tailored shorts, and proper golf shoes should be worn whilst on the course. Trainers are permitted on the driving range only.
Mobile Phones: may be used on the course and clubhouse but we request that these are switched to silent mode while on the golf course.
Course Care: Please repair pitch marks on the green, replace divots and rake bunkers after use.
Pace of play: Each player must have their own set of golf clubs for play. Please play within guidelines set by the Golf course being played –if you can’t score please pick up. If you are searching for a lost ball or fall behind the game in front, please call the game behind through before you begin the ball search. The pace of play expected for a four ball is 4 hours and 23 minutes, please allow enough time for this.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to make your tee time, we require 24 hours’ notice. If you fail to show up for your tee time, you will be charged the full amount.
Should the course be closed for any reason then you will be offered the chance to move your booking to an alternative date or we can offer you a return voucher.
