A Day at the Beach
Let's all go to the seaside
Northumberland is renowned for its beaches – with a coastline full of soft, sandy white shores alongside coastal cliff walks, you’d be remiss not to spend a day up along the coast. Beachcomb along the shoreline, bring the dogs for a runabout, or just sit back and relax under wide-open skies.
Alnmouth Beach
One of the most popular beaches in the area, this wide sandy beach is perfect for families, dog walkers, or anyone looking for a day at the beach! If you’re a keen walker follow the coastal path up to the cliff overlooking the beach for breathtaking views.
Once you’ve toweled off, head into Alnmouth and discover a charming and picturesque seaside village, with local craft shops and farm stores for delicious Northumbrian produce.
